From time to time some of the chelas entertain within their consciousness questioning about the release of the Thought Form for the Year. 

The Pattern for the year is given by the Silent Watcher for the Earth, Beloved Immaculata, to the Lord of the World, Gautama, and it is his responsibility to select the Retreats which can best furnish the Spiritual Impetus which will help the lifestreams on this Planet to cooperate with the Divine Plan, in externalizing that Pattern. 

From his Cosmic Consciousness, Lord Gautama observes the revolving Earth and sees the established Retreats flouring out their color, their song, their influence, and then like a Master Musician, he decides to emphasize the radiation and gifts of the particular Retreats in a consecutive order. This might be likened to pulling the stops on a cosmic organ, muting one radiation, and intensifying another. 

Thus the twelve-month radiation becomes a symphony in the Heart and Mind of Beloved Gautama long before it is played, with the distinct difference that each Retreat, rather than an unconscious note played by a Will outside itself, is notified by the Intelligence of the Lord of the World, and voluntarily contributes harmony at the instant directed. 

The mighty Gautama once having designed the Pattern for the twelve-month, leaves it up to the Hierarch of each Retreat to provide the maximum outpouring through his Retreat by the enlisting of whatever voluntary energies he can secure from the members of the race, as well as from the active Brotherhood who abide within the Retreat, and the ultimate Gift to Life is the responsibility of the local Retreat, although the opportunity is given by the Lord of the World. 

The preparation and receipt of the Thought Form is a very intricate and delicate activity, for although Beloved Gautama is notified by the Silent Watcher of the forthcoming year's pattern, he must closely guard it within his Consciousness, so that it can in no way intrude upon the Pattern and Radiation of the year which has not yet spent itself. 

On the Eve of the New Year, the actual Ceremony of the Release of the Thought Form takes place. The Divine Pattern in all its Beauty is energized and blazes forth from the Heart of the Beloved Immaculate, whence it energizes the Blueprint, one could say, which has been given to the Lord of the World. Beloved Gautama, in turn, externalizes the Thought Form for all the assembled Guests to see. The Cosmic Guests at the Rocky Mountain Retreat as well as the chelas and other illumined mankind who have come to the Retreat breathe this Pattern into, and make it a part of themselves, and the glorious Pattern for the Year is sent on Its way round the Earth. 

There follows a period when all at the Sacred Ceremony contemplate the meaning of the Pattern for the Year, while the Angelic Host lend their voices in joyous harmony in anticipation of the opportunity presented to the inhabitants of the Earth to fulfill the Divine Plan in all its glorious Beauty. 

Beloved Gautama then rises from his throne chair upon the dais, and in orderly sequence sends a Ray of Light to the Hierarchs whose Responsibility it will be to particularly energize the Radiation of their specific Retreats and open them at a given time for the visitation of the chelas and other spiritually inclined lifestreams upon the Planet. 

The selection of the Retreats is only made after careful deliberation by Lord Gautama and Members of the Spiritual Hierarchy as to which could best serve in the outpicturing of the Pattern for the Year. 

The pattern of being "My Brother's Keeper" has always been close to my Heart and I bring this thought to your attention, so that you will see that it is not only the Cosmic and Ascended Beings who are their Brother's Keeper, but it is a responsibility which you have assumed by reason of the dedication of your energies to the Cause of Spiritual Freedom for this Dear Earth.
