Beloved Friends and Co-servers,

I greet you from within the silence of My Heart. I come this day, bringing the Love of the Ascension Flame to each one of you. Each step forward you take brings you closer to the Flame that has been in My loving care for so long.

Some time ago I addressed you on the subject of silence. At that time, I said: "You must spend more time in silence, and learn what it truly is. Many of Us have spoken to you about this, both in discourses and within your hearts, if you happen to be listening. That is My point! You must listen within, paying attention to your own reactions before speaking out of time, possibly delaying the progress of others, as well as yourself."

In that instruction, previously given, I answered the questions: 'Does silence mean not to say a word, or does it mean to speak only when it seems appropriate to do so?'

As to the question, 'what is the silence?', to learn what true silence is, you must spend more time within it. My suggestion is―be silent and ask, and you shall receive the right response from the Christ within.

However, I urge you not to use Silence either as license, or to be lethargic. At your request, We give you the Principle, and it is―be silent, listen, and hold the peace!

As each chela embodies the Divine Principles, others will recognize and apply It as well, for they also seek the Master, Who dwells in the Temple of Silence. In this way you are not only accelerating your personal Ascension, but also helping your fellow traveler to do the same. That is a great service to life!

The silence is also a tool―a powerful tool―which brings you through many Initiations.

Within the Silence resides Purity. It is Purity that holds the Immaculate Concept for all life. Beloved friends, I beseech you to be Guardians of the Immaculate Concept in the quietness of your worlds.

Blessed chelas, when you listen and carry the instructions through, know that you are gathering in My Temple. When you feel a warm glow expanding from your heart flame, realize that it is your beloved Holy Christ Self, pouring forth to you the most intense feeling of Love. Remember to take a moment and acknowledge this radiation by giving gratitude and love to your Holy Christ Self and the Threefold Flame, in which It resides. The time will soon come when such love and acknowledgement will be a natural process during the course of each day.

I will give you a breathing exercise that you may use during the period of silence you are about to enter, as well as at other times. As you breathe rhythmically, contemplate the following statements:

I AM inbreathing the Peace of the Great Silence.

I AM absorbing the Peace of the Great Silence.

I AM expanding the Peace of the Great Silence.

I AM projecting the Peace of the Great Silence.

Let the Peace of the Great Silence go forth to all life.

The first statement, as you inbreathe, connects you with the silence within through the Holy Breath. As you hold the breath, you are accepting and absorbing the Peace of the Great Silence, establishing it firmly within. As you expand the breath, you are enfolding your entire Being in a cloak of silence. The last statement, as you hold the breath out of your body, is your service to life.

A word of advice is to choose a rhythm of breathing that is comfortable to your physical body. Always hold the awareness that your physical form is a Temple, wherein your God Presence enshrines a spark of Its divinity.

You have often heard the saying. 'Be still and know I AM GOD! I AM THAT I AM!' BE the Silence that resides at the center of your Being! My arms are always open to welcome you. Have courage! Stretch forth your hands, and I shall give you this treasured cosmic tool―of Silence. Begin now! Call for My help, and I will teach you the discipline of the Silence. It may seem difficult at first, but I assure you―once you have dwelt in the Great Silence, you will never wish to be apart from It again! I enfold you now in My Love and Purity. I AM Your Cosmic Brother.
