The Shamballa Letter

The cries for comfort, solace if you will, which go forth from the hearts of mankind is unceasing and few there are on this Earth who really know the true meaning of Comfort – whence it springs. 

Since COMFORT is one of the qualities of the Holy Spirit these pleas strike a chord in my being, and I am prompted to elucidate on this Virtue… 

When the planet Earth was made as comfortable as possible and the first Golden Age was spread across its gentle face like a smile of welcome to the newly come sons of men, the activities of the Holy Spirit as regards the individual and personal evolution of mankind began, and the five great channels (Rays) through which the Comforting Presence of Light might be poured into the consciousness of the people were created. 

As the great Cosmic Holy Spirit cosmically provided every natural comfort and stimuli for the Earth as a whole and all its inhabitants, so now in a more concentrated manner through the Five Rays did this same Comforting Presence begin to evolve itself through the Chohans and their pupils. The interpretation of the Will of the Holy Spirit is the Office of the Third Ray... the Consultant for all expressions of Perfection that manifest along the other Rays. The comfort that comes through beauty, music and art flows along the Fourth Ray – the comfort that comes from the restoration of minds and bodies of people through harmony and health flows along the Fifth Ray, and the correlation of the scientific findings of the day with the Spiritual Truths of Life are also the office of this Ray. The comfort of the souls of men and peace to the heart, and the faith to the soul is the expression of the Sixth Ray, and the bringing of Freedom to the heart in order that the Immortal Flame of Life may expand in its fullest glory and become the God-mature individual is the gift of the Seventh Ray. 

In summation, Comfort is in all constructive activities – through Love, Understanding, Tolerance and so forth – drawing the consciousness ever closer to its True Reality… the Oneness of the Christ everywhere present. 

You, blessed chelas, indeed bring the Essence of Comfort to my being as I witness the sincerity of your endeavors in bringing the Unity of Life to those in your own environment… yea on a Planetary Scale.
