The Shamballa Letter
VOLUME 14, Number 18 May 1, 1992
Beloved Chelas,
On this, the first day of a new month, we enter the vibratory activity of a great Being of Light; a friend with whom I serve as a Teacher. I speak of beloved Master Kuthumi. You will be working in one or more of his Retreats during this month. We have been speaking of the children and youth of the planet, and I am sure you are aware of his abiding interest in their education and welfare. Kuthumi has expressed a desire to write to you from time to time during this year, and I am happy to share this loving privilege with him. I know you will enjoy his letters, and that through this avenue of exchange you will come to know him better, which is a privilege to be treasured.
Kuthumi and I share many affinities, one of which is our love of teaching. A second is our love for children and young people. One of the reasons for this is the miracle of seeing young minds grow and expand. During the formative years in a person's life, the thirst for knowledge and understanding is such a visible process. Every lesson learned is experienced with such joy and a sense of accomplishment that it brings quite a reward to the hearts of their teachers.
This response is one that we enjoy seeing in all of our chelas, even those who are no longer among the younger generation. As you cultivate an attitude of looking forward to new lessons and experiences, you will greatly accelerate your learning process. Youthful minds and hearts are truly the marks of the chelas of the Ascended Masters.
A third affinity is our love and respect for the God-Mothers who serve the Earth. All roles are learned through experience, and that of mothering is no exception. We learn to mother not only by being mothers but by being children! As we evolve into higher spiritual understandings, we take all that is the best of mothering and incorporate it into our personal lives and worlds, just as with any other quality of life.
To assist you in this process I suggest that you start by sitting quietly and entering your heart flame. Thank your God Parents for giving you the great gift of life! Thank them for bringing you together with the persons who have acted as the channel for your physical body in this incarnation. As you do this, generate within your heart a true sense of gratitude to your physical mother, as well. To fulfill this responsibility on the Earth is truly one of the greatest opportunities offered to evolving lifestreams. It is also one of the most challenging. For assistance, a mother must look to the highest possible examples of motherhood that can be found. This is one of the most prevailing needs fulfilled by the God-Mothers of the Earth. Through them, the embodied mothers of the planet can receive the strength, courage, love and enlightenment to grow and expand their own consciousness as they fulfill their responsibilities as mothers of the new life streams.
At the times when you need courage, you might call on Mother Mary; for compassion you may be drawn to Lady Kwan Yin; to help develop truthfulness in your relationships with your children, Pallas Athena awaits your calls. For authority in your role as a mother, call on Goddess Vesta, she will support you in the many decisions you must make in the raising of your family.
On this celebration of Mother's Day, take time to send your love and gratitude to these great Beings of Light, Who answer your every call for assistance as you guide the new lifestreams in the discovery of their Divine Plans. Your Friend and Teacher,
