Beloved Chelas, 

My gentle brother, Kuthumi, has graciously granted me an opportunity to add my voice to his, encouraging you to sustain and maintain the momentum of Silence which is beginning to flower in your life experience. 

The inner teachings of the Great White Brotherhood are customarily presented through the Shamballa Letters in the form of Divine Principle. This is done for several reasons, not the least being the great respect which we hold for you in our Heart of Hearts. The philosophy of presenting Law and Principle in its purest form, and then trusting the Inner Christ of the chela to make proper use of these tools, is part of that great Immaculate Concept in which we enfold you at all times. The fact that a chela must actively seek to receive these inner teachings, and then must fulfill certain requirements to sustain their flow, gives assurance to the World Teachers that the questions asked by our chelas may be answered in the plain and clear language of Law and Principle. By your every effort, you prove our Faith in the very Principles we present to you! 

The training course which has been presented thus far by dear Kuthumi, is a departure from these accustomed methods. This, also, has been done for very good reasons. 

At the end of the last twelve-month cycle, our chelas worldwide were presented, through the Bridge to Spiritual Freedom Journal, with the opportunity to greatly accelerate their progress toward mastery, through practice of the very fundamental activities in which you are presently engaged. In November, Master Serapis Bey described in detail, the absolute necessity of seeking the Silence every day. In December, our great teacher Maitreya gave the chelas a glimpse of the usefulness of the Personal Spiritual Journal. 

You have been told - and rightly so - that there is no element of "coincidence" or "chance" in the activities of the Ascended Masters. At all times, we work together to achieve the maximum evolutionary opportunities possible for our chelas, so that they in turn may radiate the Ascended Master Consciousness to the unawakened masses. Our every gift, given through you to mankind, is selected with care. 

The purpose of offering these gifts at the end of the last cycle was to prepare our chelas to accept the tremendous radiation of the First Ray during the ensuing months. As most of you have gleaned by now, a First Ray cycle is not an easy one! It is the nature of my Ray to expand and accelerate the radiation of all Divine Attributes. Always, the darkness must flee to make room for the Light. In a First Ray year, the darkness flees with a vengeance, so to speak, and the process of change involved may present quite a challenge to even the most "prepared" of our chelas. For this reason did we offer to you the protection of the Silence, and the methods of anchoring the Light which we found to be most efficacious in our own evolution in the world of form. 

When a gift is given, the free will choice of the recipient is the factor which determines whether that gift shall be put to use immediately, or put aside for some future need. Somewhat to our surprise, the gifts offered by Serapis and Maitreya were largely ignored by the majority of our chelas. Please do not take this as a criticism, for such is not my intent. I merely point this out so that you will understand the reason why your current training program was designed in a more structured format, with weekly assignments and so forth. It was the consensus of the Hierarchy that the creation of a momentum of Silence - particularly among the students of the Inner Teachings - was sufficiently important to justify a departure from our customary teaching methods in favor of a more explicit framework. 

In any course of study, the moment arrives when it is up to the student to put into action the principles he or she has learned. It is time now for you, our chelas, to demonstrate the strength and determination of your Inner Christ, in continuing to seek your time in the Silence every day. You know from experience, that it is much easier to follow the directions and assignments of a teacher, than to initiate, expand and radiate such lessons for oneself. Nevertheless, as Kuthumi pointed out, the ultimate goal of any training program is that the student become the teacher. This is always our goal for you. In order to teach, one must be so immersed within and familiar with the course material that it is part of one's very nature. 

As you move into the demonstration of your mastery of the principles which have been presented, know that you have been given all of the information necessary to help you surmount any obstacles which you may encounter. Take some time to review the training course in its entirety. You have been given tools which will help you to re-educate your lower vehicles, which is probably the most essential of the prepara­tory work to be accomplished. You have been shown the importance of the Flame of Unity, in uniting the energies of your lower bodies. Both of these principles - purification and unity - will enable you to begin anew at any moment you may feel yourself slipping into old grooves of consciousness. 

I wish you well, each one! I AM with you at all times, enfolding you in my Love, Strength, and the Wisdom of God's eternal First Cause - Perfection for all Life!
