Ideals to remember

Based upon the Code of Conduct for a

Disciple of Holy Spirit.

May the members of this household and those who enter remember the following:

Be ever conscious and aspire to be the full expression of God, devoting your time and service to the First Commandment; 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'.

Learn the lesson of harmlessness; to not―by word, thought, action, or feeling―inflict pain or discomfort upon any part of life.

Stir not a brother's sea of emotion, thoughtlessly or deliberately. Know that the storm in which you place his spirit will sooner or later flow back upon the banks of your own lifestream. Work always to bring tranquility and peace to all life.

Disassociate yourself from all personal delusion. If you are right, there is no need to claim it. If you are wrong, pray for forgiveness.

Walk gently through the Universe―knowing that your body is a Temple in which dwells the Holy Spirit, bringing Peace and Illumination to all life everywhere. Keep your sacred Temple pure and clean. Respect and honor yourself and others. In gentle dignity, acknowledge the greater Light that burns within each human heart.

In the presence of Nature, absorb the beauty and gifts of Her Kingdom to us and to all humanity, in gentle loving gratitude. Do nothing that would in any way take away from this exquisite gift from God to the children of Earth.

Do not form or offer opinions unless invited to do so, and then only after you have entered the Silence of your heart, seeking guidance.

Speak only when the Presence of God chooses to say something to others through you; otherwise remain peacefully silent and listen.

Make the ritual of your daily living the full example of God's Divine Principles.

Let your heart be a song of gratitude, that the Most High Living God has given into your keeping the Spirit of Life, through which, in you, He chooses to widen the borders of His Kingdom.

Be alert always to the needs of others, and using your God given gifts and talents, assist them in recognizing their own God Perfection.

Claim nothing for yourself, neither power over other people, or things of the material world, but use them freely, for they are not given only to you, but to all humanity.

Be gentle in speech and action, always centered in the dignity that accompanies the Presence of God, that lives within each one of us.

Constantly place your attention upon the needs of others, especially when endeavoring to manifest perfection through one in distress.

Let your watchwords be gentleness, humility, and loving service. The servants of the Lord, like the Sun in the Heavens, are eternally vigilant and constantly pouring forth their gifts and blessings, so lovingly given into their keeping by God, to those people around them.
