Beloved Traveler on the Path: 

When the God-Father and Mother of the Universe creates and sends forth a soul, the individual has voluntary choice as to what particular service to life it will render, and in its early journey through the Seven Spheres has ample opportunity to enjoy the hospitality and absorb the Light and workings of each Octave in which it sojourns. Thus, part of the Divine Heritage of each being is a complete knowledge of all the planes of consciousness of the Godhead long before the Earthly incarnations begin, and in the realms of unrecorded time countless centuries pass in the enjoyment of the life and activity of these Inner Spheres, just as at the present time souls who will belong to a new chain not yet 'cool' from the Heart of its Cosmic parents are enjoying the hospitality of the Seven Spheres which represent the consciousness of the guard of our Universe. 

During this long and exquisite childhood, certain interests are aroused, and certain affiliations made, by which the individualized Spark of Life, when it comes to the first initiation and asks for the privilege of incarnation, may intelligently present before the throne its proposed service to the Universe at the completion of its earth round. It is a marvelous thing, therefore, that part of your Divine Heritage is a full personal knowledge of all the consciousness and activity of these Seven Spheres, and that the consciousness which you are evolving within yourself, will one day awaken to the memory in the flash of what is called Realization, Awareness, Illumination, etc. 

Meanwhile, from the time that your choice was made, your God Identity or Celestial Spark took its abode within the Sphere or Realm in which your final service to life will be rendered, and that is how some are called 'Fourth Ray Men' and First Ray Men' and 'Second Ray Men' because the Divine Sparks function in that Realm or Sphere. 

The apparent conflict here in the mind of the outer man is the fact that this God-Self functions in the vibratory action of the Sphere you have chosen before the world began, but your outer consciousness must earn the right to Ascend, consciously, passing through each Sphere until it has entered the Heart of God and then return to the Fourth, Sixth, or Seventh, etc., whatever the case may be. Thus a man is a member, of perhaps the Seventh and the Fourth Sphere simultaneously, but his conscious membership is the most potent factor in his capacity to serve the race, although his unconscious membership will dictate his policy, characteristics, incarnations, approach and execution of any project.
