Beloved He arts: 

The entire Host of Ascended Masters share one Consciousness in common... the Consciousness which can only accept and live in Perfection. The entire host of mankind shares the human consciousness of separateness in which exists every tendency, trait and habit which recognizes imperfection and unreality.

The evolution of the race is the drawing of the human consciousness of one individual at a time away from the mass mind and by infiltrating into the individual's consciousness the Flaming Substance, Qualities, Vision and Understanding of the Divine Consciousness, preparing that human consciousness to be absorbed into and to become ONE with the Perfected Consciousness of the Masters. The entire preparation, study and initiation of the chela is bent toward this end... and the more receptive the individual consciousness is to the feeling and radiation of the Ascended Master Consciousness the more quickly does the transformation from the human to the Divine take place for him.

To hold your consciousness up just like a great Cup to any member of the Ascended Host, with an earnest invocation from the heart, that their Consciousness might fill it, is to experience one of the greatest spiritual ecstasies which will spur the lifestream on to permanent, sustained attainment of that Illumined State which is the Union of the Divine Consciousness with the human for that instant. 

Upon retiring, the earnest chela holding his consciousness up to the Ascended Master, and making the connection whereby the Master's energy may flow into the individual's separate selves, is to insure perfect rest at night and a tremendous forward impetus for the lifestream day after day. 

The chelas so often feel that they can only progress in the daylight hours while their outer selves are alert and awake in the Third Dimensional Plane... but the consciousness can be fed with the Spiritual Currents, and quickened by Spiritual Radia­tion all through the sleeping hours as well. 

If you will begin to practice tuning in to some Perfected Being before entering sleep, you will find that the following morning your inner bodies as well as your atomic structure will have benefited by the six or eight hours in which the connec­tion was made and sustained with the same mechanical accuracy that a battery is benefited by being connected with an electric charger for the purpose of rebuilding its store of potent energies.
