You know that the consciousness represents the picture to be projected upon the screen of life, and that the quality of the consciousness is represented by every external in and around the lifestream. We know then that externals are not important in themselves except as they indicate qualities within the consciousness that, if out of order, must disappear. To treat externals is like binding up a festering wound without cleansing and probing it for microbes and that such a wound can be but temporarily healed in such a manner. 

This gives you a tremendous insight into your individual responsibility in cleansing and purifying your own consciousness in order to make a third dimensional world yield to you the Peace and Victory which your heart’s desire. There is no purpose in struggling with persons, places, conditions or things, when you have an understanding of the use of the Sacred Fire, which can and will change the inner consciousness of your lifestream and that of those whose life's experience has drawn into your environment. 

Age, limitation, labor, disease or any of the myriad factors that contribute so heavily to the weight of the personal self are but externalized thought and feeling. The invocation of the Ascended Jesus Christ Consciousness through one's own can positively erase from the inner self the belief in or allegiance to any one of them, and when the consciousness fully expands its freedom from within, the externalization will disappear. 

Let us take the average man born in modest circumstances... ingrained in his consciousness is a belief that he must, by nature of the state of his birth, perform certain labors which will be recompensed by a limited pittance wherein he will sustain his body's life. From childhood through youth that is the accepted order of the day for himself by his own consciousness, that of his parents, his friends and relatives. The succeeding fulfillment of this inner conviction is not a result of the Law of his being, but is an outpicturing, mind you, of his inner belief in labor by the sweat of the brow. 

You have been told repeatedly that the natural flow of Life Energy from the "I AM" Presence through the personal self would supply everything that one would require to sustain bodily life and fulfill one's plan, but the ingrained conviction in the consciousness must be changed preceding this manifestation which is called financial freedom. You cannot change the human consciousness by effort of human will, but it can be changed by placing one's own ideas and concepts right next to the Master's time and time again, and as they lie there side by side, impersonally examine them, then lay down the old... accept the new, and cultivate the habit of enjoying the new or Divine Idea until your feeling nature caresses, enfolds it and makes it one with you, yourself.
