VOLUME 15, Number 50                                                                                                   December 10, 1993

Beloved Chelas,

As you prepare your personal and group petitions to submit to the Karmic Board this month, I ask that you consider carefully - not only the needs which must be fulfilled, but also your personal desire and ability to commit your energies in support of your petitions.

There are so many areas of service open to our chelas. The children of the planet are in great need of unconditional love, protection, and purification within their environments. The Call for Peace is an ongoing concern, as is the expression of Divine Will through the government of every nation. The healers and scientists of the race need assistance in healing the inner causes of outer manifestations of disease. There is need for Unity among the religions of the world, and for enlightenment of the teachers of the race. All guardians and caregivers must become radiating centers of comfort, compassion and mercy. The elemental life of the planet requires purification, healing and love.

All of these and more are areas being considered now by the Chohans of the Seven Rays, as we work with the chelas and other light workers to secure commitments of energy for the work to be done during the next six months. The two key factors which determine whether a petition will be submitted by a Chohan and approved by the Karmic Board - are need and commitment of energy.

When a Chohan, or other Cosmic Being, begins to formulate a petition, the first consideration is need: What are the most pressing needs for the planet as a whole, and which ones - if fulfilled - will affect the greatest good for the largest number of lifestreams? In the area of need will also be considered the Divine Attributes of the Ray within which the Chohan works, and the ways in which those Attributes may help fulfill the requirements at hand.

The next consideration, of equal importance, is commitment of energy. Working with the Angel of the Scrolls, who receives all petitions submitted by Ascended and unascended beings alike, the Chohan will be made aware of those embodied lifestreams who desire to commit their energies in support of the particular project under consideration. The Chohan will meet with those chelas and light workers - in their finer bodies - in order to gauge the strength of their commitment and desire to serve. Thus do individual petitions evolve into group petitions, to maximize the amount of energy pledged to the Karmic Board to achieve approval.

Prior to granting any petition, the Karmic Board will examine the aura and Heart Flame of every embodied lifestream who has pledged energy for its fulfillment. The Board also examines the record of achievement of each one, to see whether the commitment is likely to be fulfilled. If the total measure of energy pledged by the group of embodied light workers is insufficient to balance the energy pledged by the Cosmic Sponsor of the petition, it is likely that the petition will be shelved until the next meeting. This will allow the Ascended One an opportunity to enlist the aid of other embodied lifestreams. There have been instances where the commitment of a single embodied lifestream was sufficient in strength, love and desire, to persuade the Karmic Board to approve the petition submitted. Although these cases are rare, they present a special joy and encouragement to all concerned!

You can see, dear chelas that you must consider more than the issue of need, as you begin to formulate your individual and group petitions this month. You must weigh carefully the amount of energy which you are able to commit in support of your petition.

I wish to remind you that it is far more valuable to submit one petition you can enthusiastically and earnestly support - than several petitions, which cannot receive the energy or attention they require for fulfillment!

I do not mean to discourage you from submitting petitions which strike a deep chord of response within you. On the contrary, these are the areas where you will undoubtedly be of the most service to mankind! I merely wish to encourage you to ponder carefully the responsibility involved. Remember - a petition is not merely a request for assistance; it is a sacred vow of service!

Bring these concerns into the Great Silence, dear ones, and lay them at the feet of your own Holy Christ Self. Rest assured, you will receive the answers you seek!
